Join us for an evening with young Hungarian authors Ferencz Mnika, Zilahi Anna and Potozky Lszl to learn about trends, workshops and highlights of the contemporary literary scene in Hungary. Representing a diverse background from poetry to prose, visual arts to translation, Cluj to Vienna, together with critic Melinda Vsri and translators Viktria Kellermann and Michalina Oziembowska they'll explore the many ways you can talk about contemporary literature at this very first stop of their literary tour of Poland.

MNIKA FERENCZ was born in March 1991 in Budapest. She's been publishing poems in different journals since 2013, and since 2015, translations, as well. After receiving the Mihly Babits Translators Grant in spring 2016, she participated in literary translation workshops organized by the Petfi Literary Museum in
Budapest (2016) and the Association of Young Writers (FISZ, 2017). Her first volume of poetry, Htam mgtt dl, was published in spring 2017.

ANNA ZILAHI (1990) poet, writer, media artist. She studied in Budapest, Paris and Vienna before graduating from the Corvinus University of Budapest, and is currently studying transmedia art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Her first volume of poetry, A blna nem motvum, was published in April 2017 by Magvet. She received the writers grant of the National Cultural Fund of Hungary in 2017.

LSZL POTOZKY, born in 1988 in Cskszereda (Miercurea Ciuc, Romania), currently lives in Budapest. Having studied communications, journalism, drama and creative writing, he has been an author of the Magvet Publishing since 2013. He was awarded a Pl Bks Prize for his novel les. His new novel, gstermk, was published in October, 2017.
